At the Quartermaine stables, Tracy returns from a ride and thanks Cody for letting her try a new saddle. Gregory shows up and apologizes for being late as he was taking in the sunset. They talk about the spectacular sunset, and Cody suggests they watch it together on some horses. Gregory passes, saying perhaps next time. Cody tells them a story about trying to impress a girl he liked when he was younger by climbing up on a pony for the first time, only to fall flat on his face. He ended up with eight stitches, but the girl sat next to him the next day on a bus. Tracy asks what the moral of the story is, and Cody says to reach high.

Cody takes off, and Tracy says he’s well-meaning. Gregory wishes everyone treated him like that, and he gives good advice. She invites him to stay for one of Sasha’s fabulous dinners, but he says she needs to go to Coney Island. She laughs and has no desire to be around the Bensonhurst brigade. He says he needs her there to tell him where he needs to stand, among other things. He needs her to be his backup in case he can’t go to the wedding.

Tracy won’t entertain that idea and says he will preside over this wedding, and it’s meant to be. He explains he’s just covering his bases in case he loses his breath or can’t read his notes, and if so, he’ll need her to go on for him. Tracy is sure he is perfectly capable of marrying Brook Lynn and Chase while being the most attractive man in the room. He thanks her for flattering him, and says they need to get her to Coney Island.

In the Quartermaine nook, Michael comes home from work and tells Sasha how great she is doing with the cooking. He says not only is Olivia less stressed, but they all have access to their kitchen still. However, he is a bit surprised she took the job, given their history. He also feels terrible she walked away from Deception and wishes he could have helped her work out a better deal in leaving. Sasha says she wanted to walk away, and Gladys already took all her money, so it’s not like she has no practice not being wealthy. She says she jumped at this job when Olivia offered it and she enjoys it. Michael would have lent her money to tide her over in her job search if she needed it. Sasha thanks him but wouldn’t have taken it. She likes being here, as she always longed to be a part of a family. She says now she gets to cook for people she knows and trusts.

Sasha realizes maybe she should have asked him before taking the job, and she hopes she isn’t making things awkward between him and Willow. Michael assures her she’s not, and all the Quartermaines agree that they love having her here. Sasha thanks him and says she doesn’t see this as a step down from Deception. She genuinely loves cooking and believes that her food makes people happy. She says she is happy seeing the love he and Willow share, too. She had it once and may have it again.

Suddenly Cody enters and asks, “Have What?” He explains he came to scrounge for leftovers, so Sasha offers to whip him something up. She leaves, and Cody calls her amazing. Michael agrees and asks what his plans are for all that amazingness. Cody can’t believe he just threw that out there. Michael says he sees the sparks between them, and Sasha is one of the best people he knows. He hopes Cody is serious about her and will be good to her. Cody says he will be as good to her as she lets him.

Sasha returns with some beef stew for Cody and asks where Michael is. Cody says he left, but not before warning him to treat her well. She says that’s not Michael’s job, and it’s her job to ensure she’s treated well. She also tells Cody he doesn’t need a lecture from Michael to be good to her, as he already is.

At Ava’s gallery, Stella helps Trina stuff envelopes while telling her stories about their family. Trina tells Stella that she knows what she’s doing, and it’s working. Stella says she’s just spending time with her, but Trina knows she’s trying to help her move on and get closure. She admits she’s no closer to figuring it out than the last time they talked. Stella says sometimes you just need a hug and shoulder to lean on, and offers Trina hers. They hug, and get back to work.

Jordan stops by and is glad to see them both so happy, but she’s about to be a buzzkill. She tells them there is a possibility Heather’s case will be re-examined as her faulty hip poisoned her and caused her imbalances over the years. Stella has read about this in other patients, but still, she doesn’t think it can excuse Heather from being a cold-blooded killer. Jordan explains some people believe her poisoning directly caused her to go insane and kill. Trina asks who would question that. Jordan says they’ll find out anyway, and it’s Laura. Trina is shocked that Spencer’s grandmother is leading the charge to re-examine Heather’s case.

Trina feels betrayed, both for herself and for Spencer. Stella doesn’t blame her, and she’s trying hard to see it from Laura’s point of view. She’s trying to understand what if this was a member of their family. Jordan understands what they are feeling, but she also understands the courage it is taking for Laura to take this on.

Trina asks if Laura is trying to set Heather free. Jordan doesn’t presume to know Laura’s intentions, but the immediate question is where Heather should be while everything is sorted out. Stella knows people under strain can be driven to do insane things. Trina lashes out what about the victims, their families, and even the pain Heather inflicted on them.

In Drew’s office, Nina tells Drew she doesn’t think she should be here and push things with Willow, but Drew tells her to calm down and he’ll handle it. Willow arrives and is surprised that Nina is there. He says they were wrapping up some accounting business and tells Nina that Willow is preparing for her first PSA. Nina says that is great and she’s proud of her and of Aurora for supporting this worthy cause. Nina says they’ll leave them to it, but Drew stops her and asks her to sit in. Willow knows Nina has a magazine to run, but he says Nina has experience with media and might see something in her trial run that he doesn’t. However, he’ll leave it up to her.

Willow lets Nina stay, and they watch her give a trial speech. Drew says she was fantastic, and Nina says she was spot on. Willow thinks there is a but in there from Nina, and she wants to know what it is. Nina tells her she is a success story, and she survived cancer and has a thrilling life now a family she loves. She tells her to show the audience that they can survive and thrive, too. Willow interprets that as smiling more. Nina says she’s got this and will get back to her office. Willow thanks her before she goes.

Willow admits Nina’s advice was good, and Drew suggests they bring her in on the project as she and Crimson could help them reach their targets. Willow accuses Drew and Nina of planning this from the beginning. She thinks he’s trying to help her and Nina patch things up. Drew says he’d never do anything to hurt her, and he gets the situation between her and her mother is complicated. Willow notes she hasn’t thought of Nina in a motherly way for a while. He feels that if he can get past what Nina did, she could do it, too.

Willow notes she’s opened herself up to Nina more than once, and without fail it ends up with lies and manipulation. She asks how many times she needs to go through this before she learns her lesson. Drew suggests maybe Nina had to learn the lesson and not her, and maybe she has. He also knows it’s easier for him to move on as he only has a professional relationship with her, and she can’t wound him like she could her. He also owes her an apology, and he admits he did finagle the meeting so they could interact. However, from a business perspective, Nina can be an asset. Willow offers to think about it but also has no right to come down on him when she’s been keeping something from him about his brother. She notes this is confidential and tells him how she and Michael found Jason hiding in the boat house after jumping off the bridge, and they helped bandage him up. She also stitched him up. Drew says Jason shouldn’t’ have put them in that situation, but helping Jason is just who she is. She helps people, and her secret is safe with her.

Anna drops by the Metro Court to see Carly. Anna asks her why she went to visit Jack Brennan in Pentonville. Carly asks why she has to run her visits by the PCPD. Anna reminds her that Brennan is the alleged head of Pikeman. She tells Carly that Brennan is a dangerous man with many eyes on him. Carly comments, “Including the FBI?” Anna says that’s an interesting assumption. Carly admits she overheard Cates questioning Jason about Pikeman and Brennan, and she wanted to see what Brennan had to say about being the head of Pikeman and Cates’ investigation.

Anna cannot believe her and asks why she thought telling Brennan was a good idea? Carly wanted to see how he’d react. Anna says not only did she reveal which agent is onto Jack, but that they are connecting him to Pikeman, and she has jeopardized a major investigation. Carly says whatever happens with her investigation isn’t her problem. Anna reminds her that Brennan was poised to kidnap her or worse that day she and Dante arrested him, but Carly doesn’t think he’s that much of a threat. Anna tells her not to be stupid and to stay the hell away from Jack Brennan!

Anna storms out, and Carly makes a call to get a ride to Pentonvile tomorrow. Nina shows up, and makes a dig that it’s nice of her to visit her friends in prison. Carly says she doesn’t have time for this, and Nina apologizes. She says she is having a good day, and that was uncalled for and just a force of habit. While things won’t ever be rainbows and sunshine between them, Nina says they don’t always have to take shots at one another every time they see each other. Nina says she approached her to tell her she was right about Sonny. Carly warned her that Sonny would leave her, and he did, even though she didn’t believe her. She explains she’s trying to make amends, and she’s working on her relationship with Drew. Carly says everything is how it should be, she has her hotel back, and Nina is back at Crimson, so there is only moving forward. Nina notes she makes it sound easy. Carly says just don’t look back, smiles, and walks away.

On the next General Hospital: Valentin and Anna have their date, and he tells her, “With you it’s always been serious.” Gregory tells Alexis he’s not sure an apology will do. In Ava’s gallery, Cates asks someone if they are planning to walk away with Sonny’s organization. Also, in the gallery, Nina lets Ava know, “If that’s not worthy of payback, I don’t know what is.” Jordan tells Drew, “I thought you’d never ask.” And Anna suggests to Jason they can use Carly’s mistake to their advantage.
